The adopted instruments for this study are Big Five Inventory and Job Satisfaction Scales. Five hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for the analysis of data collected. The results showed that extraversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness significantly influenced job satisfaction among secondary school teachers. However, openness to experience and neuroticism were not significant predictors of job satisfaction among secondary school teachers. It was concluded that extraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness personality types were major factors predicting the job satisfaction of secondary school teachers. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that school administrators should consider applicants with extraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness personality types for teaching appointment whenever recruitment is done.
